The 3rd edition of Fest-UP: Barcelona’s Startup Community Festival kicks off this week with multiple events taking place across the city. The 2015 edition promises to showcase some of the fastest, most exciting startups and tech companies in Barcelona. The information and links below will give you all the information you need to get the most out of Fest-UP.

First up, the HandsOn Startup Pitch Contest will feature 8 of Barcelona’s most promising early stage startups competing for their chance to win a all-expenses paid trip to Silicon Valley! The very next day, more than 500 of Barcelona’s most talented professionals will come together at Valkiria Hub Space to meet the city’s fastest growing tech companies. Job candidates should bring their CVs and come dressed to impress. Below you can find the participating companies.

There will also be 3 interactive workshops taking place throughout the afternoon:

From Seed to Growth: Navigating the Startup Minefield (17:30): Hear from Jaume Bertrian, CEO of Ofertia, and Ignacio Lacasa, founding partner of Across Legal, as they walk you through the do’s & don’ts of building a global company from Spain. Avoid common pitfalls when dealing with shareholders agreements, choosing your co-founders and raising capital.
How To Use Your Personal Brand To Launch Your Startup (18:45): This interactive workshop, hosted by sales & marketing expert and founder of FocusME, Laura Ribas, features a step-by-step approach to leveraging your own personal brand to build your company and maximize your success.
VC Corner: Comparing the Barcelona & Scandinavian Startup Scenes (19:30): Rasmus Bjernagaard, a venture capitalist from Northcap Ventures in Copenhagen, will host a TED-style talk breaking down the differences and similarities between the Spanish and Scandinavian startup ecosystems and recruiting environments.

*Seating is first come, first serve: Space is limited for all of the workshops, so you should register separately and arrive early for the workshop(s) you’d like to attend.

The Fest-UP Talent Expo & Startup Job Fair will run from 17:00-20:30 on Friday, November 20th at Valkiria Hub. At 20:30, the resident DJ at Razzmatazz, DJ Desconocido will take over as the event transforms into casual networking cocktails provided by Pinord.
