Leading hospitality technology company Resy has acquired ClubKviar, a reservation platform and concierge service that partners with ~300 of Spain’s best restaurants to facilitate curated dining experiences for its member-only community.
“ClubKviar has emerged as a key player in the Spanish marketplace with an impressive list of restaurants and significant consumer following of over 100k engaged and active users. As Resy continues to expand its user and restaurant base in Europe, ClubKviar’s strategic relationships and brand value will be instrumental in expediting growth in Spain.” says Founder & CEO of Resy, Ben Leventhal.
Resy will leverage ClubKviar’s existing team of talented professionals and established awareness with key supply and demand drivers to scale quickly. For the time being, ClubKviar’s team will continue to operate its business as is, which generates significant revenues via its a fee-per- cover platform.
The longer-term strategy will be to transition these restaurants into ResyOS customers, where we will instantly be in a position to offer demand from ClubKviar’s active user base, and rapidly turn on inventory for the Resy app and Airbnb.
“Forming part of the Resy family allows us to close the circle and to finally provide our restaurant partners with a 360 hospitality suite, offering them the most innovative technology on the market so they can focus on building a better relationship with their guests.” says Stewart Masters, Co-founder & CEO of ClubKviar.
The acquisition represents an exciting step as Resy expands into markets across Europe.
