BUILDING FULL-STACK APP WITH METEOR.JS WEEKEND COURSE by Barcelona Code School

This is a weekend workshop designed aimed at introduction to Meteor.js which is an open-source full-stack isomorphic JavaScript framework useful for fast developing and prototyping full-stack web and mobile apps.

Meteor.js is written using Node.js and works with MongoDB.

We are going to use Meteor.js together with React.js.

The goal of this workshop is to build a full-stack CRUD application.

Daily schedule:

10:00-13:00: classwork
13:00-14:00: a break
14:00-17:00: classwork

THIS COURSE IS IN ENGLISH.

YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR LAPTOP.

By the end of this course you will learn:

How to set up the environment for Meteor.js development;
React.js basics and logic;
Components and modular approach;
JSX syntax;
Getting, storing and returning persistent data within your app;
Debugging;
Deployment.

As a result you will build a full-stack app working in the browser and on mobile devices.

Note: for mobile app deployment we recommend to bring Mac laptops.
