Amazon has put €30 million on the table and bought a 150,000 m2 property in the industrial area of Mas Blau II of El Prat de Llobregat in Barcelona. According to LaVanguardia, this property will become the tech giant’s largest logistics center for southern Europe.
The center will be approximately 210.000 square meters and create around 2.000 jobs in Barcelona. Amazon already has about 1400 Spanish employees at their logistics center in Madrid.
The company already has 29 logistics centers in Europe, in seven different countries.
If everything goes as planned the the logistics center will be ready to take on tasks by Christmas of 2016.
