We’re happy to announce that the very first chapter of Women Who Code in Spain is launching in Barcelona! Whoot!
If you’re unfamiliar, Women Who Code (WWCode) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the careers of women in tech. You can read more about the organization here.
Our goal is to provide women of the tech community of Barcelona a platform and community in which to grow their skills and become leaders in their field. We primarily do this by creating a support network through our events, talks, and hackathons related to tech.
Our launch event will be a Hack Day this Saturday, November 26th, at ThoughtWorks. The theme of this Hack Day is “what would you build improve the situation of women in tech in your community?”
All skill levels welcome! Techy ladies who already work in tech, techy ladies who would like to work in tech, techy ladies who just really like tech – join us and bring your ideas!
