SPEAKERS

Kristina Paltén
“If you want to change the world, trust“
(Talk in English)

Kristina Paltén is a swedish ultramarathon runner who decided to ran alone throughout Iran in order to challenge gender and religion stereotypes in which she herself believed in a little bit, and what she found, overwhelmed her. Holding also the World Record in 48 hour treadmill running covering a distance of 322,93 kilometers, Kristina has discovered that it is only when we trust people and expect the good from them, that we can truly change the world.

Katrine Marçal
“May the 4th revolution be feminist“
(Talk in English)

Katrine Marçal is a renowned swedish journalist and economist based in London who works as correspondent for Aftonbladet, the main newspaper of Sweden, where she writes about the crossroads of politics, economics and feminism. Author of the provocative and award-winning book “Who cooked Adam Smith’s dinner?”, she stands for a human and feminist understanding of economics that finally sees the value brought by women. Will that be the gift of the so-called 4th Industrial Revolution?

María Fernández-Miranda
“Ser o no se madres no debería ser la cuestión” (Talk in Spanish)

María Fernández-Miranda Bances is a journalist who is currently doing as Deputy Director of the well-known women’s magazine Cosmopolitan. Previously, she worked at Elle, Yo Dona, Marie Claire and at La Nueva España newspaper. Living first-hand the pressure that society still puts on women, made her reflect on the type of questions that we ask them every day. After going through seven unsuccesful in vitro fecundations, she embarked on a journey in search of different women role models beyond maternit, interviewing 10 Spanish celebrities (such as Maribel Verdú, Rosa Montero and Alaska) whose voices and stories were collected on her exciting book: “No madres. Mujeres sin hijos contra los tópicos”.
