| On the 11th of May, a malicious software – the virus WannaCry was able to compromise various computers of the internal network of Telefonica. This caused the company to ask all of its employees of the Madrid office to switch off their computers. Various other companies worldwide have been attacked as well. How could this happen? Can this occur again in the future? How fragile are we respect to cyberattacks and can we protect ourselves from these threats? How? |  |
| We want to discuss about all these doubts and anxieties at our next event TEDxBarcelonaSalon. In order to guide us with expert knowledge we invited Deepak Daswani, an expert in cyber security of the multinational company Deloitte. He was Security Evangelist at INCIBE (Instituto Nacional de Cibeseguridad), from October 2013 until July 2015. He is co-founder of Hackron, a Congress of Hacking and Cybersecurity of Canarias which takes place every year in Tenerife. |

We will use the content of these talks for our discussion after listing to Deepaks talk. You can watch these talks at home or together with us at our event.
