Swift – Protocols and Abstractions @ letgo

May 30, 2016 @ 19:00 - 20:00

Guys we have a bumper NSBarcelona meetup at the end of this month for you, ram packed full of Swift and apps.  The guys from letgo have kindly offered their space in Barceloneta for our event, and we’ve got 2 awesome speakers for you guys this time:

Protocol-oriented programming in Swift

Albert Hernández, lead iOS dev @ letgo

Easily responding to change is a must for every developer. In this talk Albert will cover protocols in Swift and how can they help you to build decoupled components in our apps. He will explain their experience in letgo: how and why they changed their mind to protocol-oriented programming.

Build better apps faster

Pierluigi Cifani, freelance iOS developer

Pierluigi is going to show us some cool abstractions which can help us make better apps even faster.  He’s going hands-on and showing us playgrounds such as “A Stateful Data Source for collectionViews” (that shows a Loading spinner, an error state, or the data) and “Using protocols to build NSURLRequests”.

Lightning Talks

Got something you want to share with the community?  Whether it’s an awesome piece of code you’ve written, a new Cocoapod that you’re using, or a new app you’ve developed, you’re more than welcome to come on stage and share something with the rest of the meetup.  Just contact me on [masked]

After the event, as always, a few of us will grab a beer and some food somewhere nearby. Everyone is welcome to join.

See you on Monday 30 May at the letgo offices.
