Startup Grind BCN hosts Manel Sort (King)

Manel Sort is the Head of Studios at King Barcelona. King is the leading interactive entertainment company for mobile platforms.

Manel has got 12 years of experience in multi-platform and gaming industries, and more than 60 titles developed and published – a great share of them have been awarded and publicly acclaimed by the specialised press.

Currently, Manel acts as a speaker giving keynotes and lessons in Universities all around Spain and Mexico at UPC, UAB, ELISAVA, UVic, BAU and the Technology University of Monterrey.

Previously, Manel was VP and CEO of “Digital Chocolate”, where he managed a team of over 60 individuals, specializing in development, publishing and maintenance of mobile, tablet and browser games. This studio launched games such as “Millionaire City” on Facebook and “Galaxy Pocket Life Adventures” for iOS.

Manel has a Master of Science in Computer Games programming by the University of Westminster.
