«Best practices in B2B sales for digital companies» is a public lecture organised by Harbour.Space University in collaboration with OneCoWork.
This talk will be conducted by Fil Guijarro, Sales Consultant, Mentor & Speaker.
Digital companies looking to build their first sales organisation or looking to grow their current sales effort should always mind the basic best practices.
In this talk we will reach an understanding about the purpose of having a sales team, what to expect from them and what not to expect from them, and where to jump in as a manager. Also discussed will be basic assets and tools required by a sales team so they can do their job, such as a unified sales message and a CRM platform. The talk will conclude upon theory for cold outreach, and tips to engage unsuspecting prospects.
The talk will be somewhat disruptive and therefore fairly interesting for both beginners and experienced people. The most important thing to note is that a real sales process should be up and running, or you should be willing to initiate a sales process.

Fil has spent over 10 years in the startup scene in Berlin. At the start, he worked to internationalise startups once they had found success in the German market. Today Fil specialises in helping digital companies in various countries to acquire, train, and manage multinational sales teams, in order to position themselves strategically. Fil has helped dozens of companies over the years, and actively participates as a mentor in a handful of accelerator programmes and as a speaker at startup events.
Fil has been a sales-oriented individual from the start, growing up around a sales and marketing-based family business, established by his father 50 years ago. Fil is from El Paso, on the US-Mexico border, and a graduate of the Mendoza College of Business of the University of Notre Dame in the US.
