#Nomadtalks: How to generate a passive income on Udemy

This NomadTalk will be about giving lectures on Udemy and generating a passive income with it.
Our guest speaker will be Mark Farragher. Here we go with his description of the meetup:

I’ve always been fascinated by the difference between active and passive income. I worked in IT for over 2 decades, and one day I realised that I could take all my knowledge and sell it online by creating a stream of educational courses. I published my first course in March 2015, and only three months later I felt confident enough to quit my day job, produce courses full-time, and attempt to live off my course income. In this talk I will share my entire journey with you. I’ll show you exactly how I produce my courses, how much money I make each month, and how I use marketing and sales techniques to grow my income as quickly as possible. I will talk mostly about the Udemy platform, but I’ll also briefly cover other platforms like Teachable and Lynda and show you how I’m setting up a multi-channel sales funnel for online content.

Mark Farragher’s bio:

Mark Farragher has worked in IT for over 2 decades and he’s worn many different hats over the years. He’s been CTO three times and launched two tech startups in The Netherlands.

One year ago Mark started experimenting with passive income by creating online courses from his IT knowledge. Three months later he quit his job as a Sharepoint consultant and switched to working full-time as an online trainer. Today he lives in Barcelona and earns a living selling online courses on professional C# development to a worldwide audience.
