Mobility studies derived from mobile data; Barcelona as a big data scenario

March 26, 2018 @ 19:00 - 21:00

Hi BCN Data Engineers!

Hope you all enjoyed MWC and generally are well 🙂 The speaker and venue for this event took some time to confirm, but here we are!

We are very happy that we are able to be at Ironhack once again, due to other venues being booked. For Monday the 26th of March, I’m pleased to announce that Carmen Herrero will give a talk on her mobility studies in the context of Barcelona. Carmen (https://es.linkedin.com/in/carherrero ) is an innovation researcher and data scientist at the Big Data Analytics group of Eurecat, where they do different projects in mobility, tourism, and smart cities. She started her career at the Marine Science Institute in Barcelona, where she obtained a Ph.D. in physical oceanography studying the effect of the ocean on climate during long time periods. Besides this, she’s an enthusiastic traveler, a passionate photographer (http://www.carmenherrero.com/) and recently became a mom!

Mobile and data. What’s not to like?

The agenda for the night:
19:00 Doors open & beers/soda

19:30 Mobility studies derived from mobile data by Carmen Herrero & Q/A

20:00 More beers/soda and network

21:00 Wrap

Join us for another #bcndataeng

Due to security reasons from the venue, I need to ask to RSVP through Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/barcelona-as-a-big-data-scenario-mobility-studies-from-mobile-data-tickets-44222964076
