“Mettre en Lumière” immersive experience by Garage Stories at Apolo

On the occasion of the Mobile World Congress, Garage Stories, a film and innovation laboratory born in Silicon Valley, will present on the 28th of February at the Sala Apolo the mixed-reality experience “Mettre en Lumière”, created in a period of two weeks by a multidisciplinary team of 7 creatives from different fields.

Garage Stories, a filmmaking and innovation lab born in Silicon Valley with the mission to create narratives for new mediums and explore the endless possibilities that offer technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality or Artificial Intelligence, brought together last January 28 creative minds (filmmakers, architects, developers, psychologists, engineers, etc.) to co-create unique and innovative immersive experiences.

During two weeks, organized in 4 teams of 7 people each, the 28 participants worked together to come up with innovative narrative structures for immersive and interactive mediums with the aim of help shape the cinema of the future. The teams followed the Garage Stories’ own methodology, led by its founder Marta Ordeig, which is based on Design Thinking techniques to enhance the creativity of multidisciplinary teams and generate disruptive ideas.

The four projects were exhibited at the “Salón del Cine y las Series” and this upcoming February 28, on the occasion of the Mobile World Congress, Apolo will open its doors to the public so that they can experience live “Mettre en Lumiére”, an immersive piece that was created in a future Apolo, perhaps not too far away, that will make us rethink to what extent we own our memories and our lives.

“Mettre en Lumière” – A girl, using an advanced virtual reality system, will face a difficult decision after remembering past times with her ex girlfriend in the mythical club Apolo. After all, what does Apolo know about you?
