Delete the tax fraud: utopia or reality?

The taxes of fiscal fraud in Spain have not changed in the last 30 years. Year after year, there are 80.000 million of euros defrauded. A chronic phenomenon that could cease if the competent authorities applied a change of paradigm, that has already worked in other countries and would permit to modify radically the ongoing situation.

The pillar of our culture is to fight against the fraud and to distrust taxpayers, but it has been demonstrated that this system is inefficient. We must shift to the elimination of fraud instead of trying to reduce it.

In this session, Joan Iglesias, partner of the fiscal department of Roca Junyent, will analyze the urban legends and myths around the fiscal fraud and will expose the principal axes that could be useful for eliminating it. An analysis that will be completed with a conversation with Luz Parrondo, teacher of Economics and Finances of the UPF Barcelona School of Management.
