Divest from Fossils, Invest in Green Business

Ecopreneur.eu and 350.org are joining forces on World Environment Day (June 5, 2015) at Impact Hub Barcelona, to bring the successful “Divestment” campaign to Spain, and take it to the next level along the process by merging it with the funding of green businesses. Divest from fossil fuels, invest in green business.

Goal: to link the “divest from fossil fuels” movement, led by 350.org, with the “invest in green business” one, led by Ecopreneur.eu; by presenting alternatives to responsible investors under the form of green businesses (SMEs) from Ecopreneur’s network.

Organizer: Ecopreneur.eu, the European network of green business, an umbrella organization of national entities promoting the Green Economy within the EU, including: UnternehmensGrün (Germany), Entreprendre Vert (France), Grüne Wirtschaft (Austria) and Greenbiz (Spain).

Leading partner:350.org, through 350BCN, its local chapter in Barcelona, a grassroots-based organization building a global climate movement, active in over 188 countries.

Other partners: Triodos and GLS Bank, ethical banks from Spain and Germany, respectively.
