Barcelona Tech, Startups and Innovation
Do you know the term Bootcamp? They are short-term training programs that transfer the concept of military training to technological disciplines. In the United States they have been training digital talent for more than 15 years, but, on the contrary, their presence in the Spanish market is less than 5 years. The digital talent gap and, therefore, the lack of professionals in the technology sector has driven the growth of bootcamps during the last decade in their role as express trainers of digital talent among adult students.
Attend to the presentation of our Report ‘Talent and Bootcamps’, the first study to analyze the impact of bootcamps in Spain. In order to understand the scope of this methodology in technological training, we have conducted different interviews with the most relevant actors in this new model of training offer.
During the session, we will address the main indicators around:
– The trajectory of bootcamps in the Spanish market and turnover rates
– Typology of training offer: most demanded digital skills
– Profile of digital talent trained in bootcamps
– Percentages of labor insertion in the market and recruiting companies
To talk about all these topics we will have the participation of:
– Jordi Arrufí, Director of the Digital Talent program of Mobile World Capital Barcelona and spokesperson for Barcelona Digital Talent
– Adrià Baqués, Global Head of Operations of Ironhack, leading code academy in the market,
– Oriol Alcoba, General Director of ESADE Creapolis
