AperoTalk with Sebastian Janus, Co-founder of GetYourHero

Le Wagon Barcelona ( https://www.lewagon.com/barcelona ) proudly announces the first AperoTalk in the city: an informal networking event where founders, accelerators and other important movers and shakers of the local startup scene get together with future entrepreneurs to share their stories about success and failures.

GetYourHero ( https://getyourhero.com/ ) is a Barcelona based internet startup, which is providing households and small offices access to on-demand cleaning services in Southern European metropolitan areas. The aim is to disrupt the black market dominated sector by offering affordable cleaning services through vetted and experienced professionals.

It was founded by three German entrepreneurs in 2014. After bootstrapping and validating the business idea in Spain, GetYourHero raised more than 2M€ in funding before expanding through Italy and France. With more than 400+ cleaning professionals registered and 50.000+ customers throughout Europe, GetYourHero was the biggest online provider for on-demand cleaning services, before merging with an international player earlier in 2016.

About Sebastian Janus, Co-founder of GetYourHero

Sebastian holds a Master of science in IT Security and Software Development from the Ruhr-University of Bochum (Germany) and University of Sheffield (United Kingdom). Before turning 26 he founded two companies in Spain, raised more than 2M€ in funding from well-known Business Angels and Venture Capitalists and lead the international expansion of GetYourHero throughout Southern Europe.

He is a keynote speaker, author and advisor to many companies and entrepreneurs from all over Europe. Furthermore he is external expert for the European Commission and counsels in questions of entrepreneurship and innovation for the Horizon 2020 project.
