MOB ORGANIZES THE SECOND EDITION OF WE / CODE. A FREE EVENT IN WHICH ANYONE CAN LEARN TO PROGRAM, IN ONE DAY AND WITHOUT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE

We / Code aims to democratize programming and make it accessible to all.
1 day, 10 mentors and the excellence of MOB; allWomen and Barcelona Activa to lose the fear of programming.
We apply the “learn by doing” methodology to break down barriers.

From MOB we think that innovation should not be the luxury of a few, but the power of many, and that this is the first step towards evolution and change. Therefore, we have created We / Code BCN, the free event that teaches you to program in one day, without having previous training. In this edition the mentor is part of the team of professors of the IT Academy of Barcelona Activa and we also have the support of allWomen. The three entities have the same vision: try to bring the world of innovation and programming closer to anyone.

“Digital literacy” is becoming increasingly important in a world led by new technologies, and it is an increasingly necessary capacity. Analyzing the trends of digital literacy is becoming more and more evident, the need to provide consumers with information and technology tools that allow them to understand its operation in order to become creators of conscious and informed content. The problem is that many people do not dare to make the leap, but with We / Code BCN we want to show that programming is not limited to geniuses and geeks or millennials. All attendees will end the day by taking something tangible and created by them to their homes.

We / Code is focused on people interested in programming, without previous experience. The objective is that, at the end of 10 hours, the participants have lost their fear of programming, and that they go home having learned how to create a fully functional web page made by themselves, and with the necessary tools to continue training on your own. The day will end with a motivational talk and a relaxed networking space.
