He began his career at the European Laboratory of Particle Physics (CERN), in Geneva. After 11 more years in Switzerland, within banking, in global companies such as Credit Suisse and UBS, spending several seasons in New York and London, Maria Jose found her passion in the world of Innovation, joining the BBVA group as Director of Innovation in 2012. He currently works in the New Digital Models Unit of BBVA, and leads a team that focuses on creating new models of customer experience through Design Thinkin and relationship with startups. Maria José is passionate about change and innovation and is convinced that the “key to being able to create a sustainable world is collaboration”.

Lecturer and promoter of ethical banking and sustainable business, linked to Triodos Bank since 2006, where he has been deputy general manager and is now a member of the Advisory Board. Author of “Money and conscience: Who does my money serve?”. He teaches courses at various universities and business schools on human economics, ethical finance and leadership. “I firmly believe that another world is possible, but we must do it together, and for this a change of the economic model is necessary: putting the center of the economy in the human being, not in the benefit”.

Pau Velando is the General Manager of Strands, where he is responsible for leading and coordinating the development of the company globally. He is passionate about machine learning, artificial intelligence and cognitive computing. Industrial Engineer, he has a thesis in Machine Learning and natural language processing and an MBA from IESE Business School.

Marcos has held management positions at BBVA and Barclays Bank, and has worked as a consultant in Spain and internationally. General Director of the Global Alliance for Banking with Values (GABV) since 2015, a newly created position that marks the expansion of the GABV and its objective of collaborating with some of the main banks, credit cooperatives, community banks and microfinance of the world based on values, to accelerate the growth of a positive and viable alternative to the current financial system. Marcos is known for his ability to direct the strategic development of profitable and sustainable business models based on values.
