What is platform economy?
A platform is a business model that enables the exchange of value between two or more sets of users, usually producers and consumers.
The platform economy usually relates to transaction platforms, or ‘online matchmakers’. Think Uber, Airbnb, Apple’s iOS, Google’s Android, etc.
We will discuss:
From product to platforms : main differences and characteristics
Types of platform
How to build a core interaction before selecting features
Solving the chicken and egg problem
Barriers to entry
Fostering a positive network
Ways to monetise : should I monetise earlier rather than later?
We look forward to seeing you there!
