Startup Next will get your team focused on the progress needed to stand out from others applying through our framework of top-quality mentorship, content, and referrals to accelerators or investors.

During Startup Next, teams will:

• Test their startup idea and team
• Get weekly hands-on mentorship & pitch coaching
• Be held accountable and held to focus on important growth metrics
• Grow their network of startup experts and other founders

Startup Next Barcelona is an intense mentorship program consisting of 3 hour weekly (once a week) sessions for five weeks. Teams are expected to hustle outside the sessions and complete a small set of reporting deliverables each week in preparation for the mentorship.What happens after the program finishes?
Following the program, Startup Next teams that have demonstrated their readiness and progress will have access to a number of value-added resources from the Startup Next global team.The value-adds for alumni will be:

• 2 day trip to Silicon Valley, that includes investor pitch events, networking events and learning sessions
• Exposure through demo days & special events
• Introductions & referrals to accelerators or investors partners of Startup Next
• Continued mentorship from successful entrepreneurs or domain experts in the startup space
• Connections to potential customers looking to work with high quality and scaling startups

• This program does not take any equity
• There is a program fee of €200 per team member. Teams will only need to make a payment only after being accepted into the program
• The program fee helps us cover the local logistics and support of volunteer mentors & facilitators.

What are the application requirements?

• Well Rounded Teams
  • 2-4 founders on team  (No solo founder teams accepted)
  • Teams must have a hacker/hustler combination
• Big & Unique Idea
  • Startups must be working on a unique technology-enabled startup idea and attacking a big market
• Progress or Current Traction
  • Evidence of execution – Some proof of an MVP needed as we want teams at more than just an idea stage
  • Problem/solution fit – Some level of previous customer validation already done and usage validation (users, revenue, LOIs, etc). We want teams we can help focus on getting closer to product/market fit
• Team video
  • Video submissions are a good indicator of startups looking at this as an opportunity and will be willing to invest the time needed during the program
