Carlos Trenchs Sainz de la Maza (1973), is the Director at dayOne, banking division at CaixaBank focused on technology companies and its investors. Previously was Managing Director of Caixa Capital Risc, the venture capital division of “la Caixa” group.

With a degree in Business Administration from the UB and an MBA from Esade and NYU, Carlos has developed his professional career with technological start-ups. First in the deregulation of the telecommunications market and later with the serial entrepreneur Didac Lee in the field of internet.

At the end of 2004, he joined “la Caixa” to promote the area of entrepreneurs and seed capital. Since then, Caixa Capital Risc established itself as one of the leading investors in Spain in the early stages of innovative companies with more than € 160bn under management in the fields of Life Sciences, Industrial Technologies, and Digital.
