Barcelona Tech, Startups and Innovation
We’re challenging summer holidays and relaxation on the beach with another great meetup organized by BCN Data Engineering (https://www.meetup.com/es-ES/BCN-Data-Engineering).
The main theme for this is the event is framed by the question:
How can we create organizations and governments that are cooperative, productive, and creative through data?
These are the questions at the heart of social physics, a movement that was born at MIT’s world-renowned Media Lab.
The talk will walk you through the basic ideas behind social physics and then propose a concrete algorithm to greatly improve the management of big data for the well-being of the planet.
Speaker: Luis Razo Bravo is the director of the European Institute of Science in Management and Educapro Learning and Performance. He first studied linear regression models in psychology and social relations under the controversial figure of Richard J. Herrnstein, in the shadows of MIT.
Today, he uses the same statistical logic as an independent researcher in management, social choice and theoretical physics. Luis will walk us through the basic ideas behind social physics and then propose a concrete algorithm to greatly improve the management of big data for the well-being of the planet.
