mSantJordi 2014

To celebrate the first anniversary of Barcelona as Mobile World Capital (2013-2018) we will celebrate Sant Jordi day from Mobile World Centre facilities with a Book Fair with edgy interactions enlivened with Social Media and its undeniable support that exceeds the geographical limitations.

An action curated by writer and journalist Guillermina Royo-Villanova will lead the event with Jose Angel Mañas, author of Stories from the Kronen. The action is conceived as a festival of letters around the competition  “Be Brief” MWC 2014 Sant Jordi”. The whole event will be broadcasted on our website.

From April 8 the contest call is open on our the website. You can participate in the following link: mStJordi Contest .

Participation in one of the following categories, does not mean an exclusion from participating in the others: “Very Short Story”, “Micro poetry” and “Original humor quote”, best photo during the event and best live performance.

The coordinators and jury will evaluate each category of texts from the 8th and until the 23rd, when three finalists will be selected per share.

AGENDA

April 22

Through our ambassadors of the event, medieval knights and maidens, we will announce the event on the street and within the space. People interested can then register and a bracelet will be given to invite them to the actions of the 23rd.

April 23

Five ambassadors will announce the actions of literary festival.

Under the slogan, “Save the Pink Sant Jordi” there will be an interactive and technological tour through digital media and chroma with the purpose to hunt the dragon.

Once completed the course attendees will be given a paper rose as a symbol of the day of Sant Jordi.

Medieval maidens will take pictures next to the giant screens with themes of Sant Jordi. People can insert citations and micro stories to their photos to save the rose, and upload them to social networks.

All the event will be streamed online.

PROGRAM

Morning

09:30 NUBICO presentation. The digital reading without limits. Ground floor. Espacio Movistar.

10:00 Discover 3D printers and print your rose. (This activity will be avaliable the whole day)

12:00 to 13:00 Presentation of the event coordinators and action. Jose Angel Mañas, Guillermina Royo-Villanova, Malena María San Martín and Javier Divisa.

12:00 Presentation of the first writers who will his books in the morning session.

12:30 “Taichí para Dummies” author, Joan Prats will hold an open Taichi class, accompanied by his students.

Afternoon

16:00 Presentation of the first writers to sign at the afternoon.

16:45 Malena and Diego Matarucco(the two winners in Spain in most poetry slams). Diego also will play music Mary Malena recitation . Both go along reciting the day.

17:20 Guillermina Royo -Villanova recitation. Music: Luis Lasso. Video creation: Digital 21.

17:30 Interview with Javier Divisa. Javier will read from “Three men three cities” and “Brave idiots” and José Antonio Pamies who will present his new book ‘Diario Nómada’, awarded by ‘II Premio Internacional de Poesía Círculo de Bellas Artes’.

18:00 Roundtable: How has the night changed? 20th Anniversary Historias del Kronen.

18:40 Open microphone: Everyone who want to read his/her text will have the opportunity at this time.

19:00 Projection  Video Art ‘Psicosofía i Filodelia’ (Performed by: Guillermina R-V Camera: Alberto Martín  Music: Luis Lasso. Then the writer and general secretary of the Writers’ Association of Catalonia, Pura Salceda will be interviewed by Guillermina and will present his latest book, “El Amante Circunstancial”. and will offer a poetry reading with the music of Luis Lasso.
