Talk: “Making the entire world accessible via a single API”
Ed Freyfogle will present about the OpenCage Geocoder an API for forward and reverse geocoding built on top of OpenStreetMap and other open geodata sources. The service provides a single, simple API to make life easy for developers e.g. by enriching your huge spatial data set into specific locations. The talk will also explain what the OpenStreetMap project – with 3 million registered users and well over a million edits a day – is and how it has evolved.
The speaker:
Ed lives in Barcelona with his wife and two children. Previously he spent 10 years in the London start-up scene, where he co-founded and later successfully exited a real estate meta-search engine. He started his career as a software developer for yahoo.de in Munich. Besides growing OpenCage he invests in and advises European location-based service start-ups.”
