Afternoon Startup Competition & Evening Drinks

Following the success of the Startup Competition in Paris, LeWeb is exploring the most vibrant ecosystems to identify the most promising startups in the world.

Our fourth stop will be in Barcelona for a fun and entertaining competition. Buckle up, the competition will be fast-paced 90 seconds pitch followed by 4-5 minutes Q&A in front of our jury composed of local partners, local investors and entrepreneurs.

The winning startups of each city will be on the fast-lane to join the finals of LeWeb’14 Paris, December 9-11. Apply today, and get ready to meet with the press, investors and your future partners.

SELECTION CRITERIA, YOUR STARTUP MUST:
• Present a product or service, B2B/B2C, any industry
• Be less than 3 years old
• Have less than €1.5M/ $2M in financing
• If selected, pitch for 90 seconds, 5 slides

October 26 (midnight PST): Application deadline
November 6: Pitch competition – Barcelona

APPLY TO THE COMPETITION
Applicants must provide basic company profile and funding information, product description, and link to an online video or slide presentation pitching the business and product.

ENTRY IS FREE. You need not to be a customer of LeWeb or any of its partners or sponsors. Applicants may be required to provide additional information, including a video and/or slide presentation, during the selection stages. Community online voting may be used to determine competition participants.

Applicants must have less than €1.5M (US$2M) of investment from any and all sources (including, but not limited to friends & family, angel investors, institutional VCs, government grants). Applicants may be asked to provide unaudited financial statements disclosing sources of funding. Startups pitching on stage may be video recorded and photographed during the conference and agree that these photos and videos may be used in conjunction with the conference promotion before, during and after the event. Applicants understand that part of the winners selection may be subject to an audience vote during the competition. Startups selected to the Startup Competition Finals on December 9-11 2014 will receive two complimentary tickets as well as access to the Startup Competition Lounge to demonstrate their product during LeWeb’14 Paris.
