Introduction to self-sovereign identity & Rebooting the Web of Trust

February 28, 2019 @ 18:30 - 20:30

During this meetup we will have a talk about self-sovereign identity by Cristopher Allen and Drummond Reed and the presentation of “Rebooting the Web of Trust”, a three-day facilitated event gathering around 50 brilliant minds to produce white papers and specifications to influence the future of decentralized identity by establishing and promoting new identity technologies.

Self-Sovereign Identity is both an ideology to reclaim human dignity and authority in the digital world and an emerging suite of technologies designed to enable that movement.

Technology specifications incubated in Rebooting the Web of Trust are also moving toward acceptance in W3C and IETF as international standards, while other companies have contributed code to Hyperledger and Ethereum as well as multiple open source repositories as well as integrated into proprietary identity platforms.
