Ignite Barcelona #2

Ignite is an event of ultra-fast talks organised by volunteers, in which the participants speak about their passions following a specific format: 5 minutes supported by 20 slides programmed to change every 15 seconds.

The philosophy behind Ignite Barcelona is that we all are interesting and, therefore, that everyone has peculiar passions and histories to tell. Anyone can climb on the Ignite stage. As long as they follow two simple rules: no self-promotion and no talks about emotional intelligence, any topic is welcome.

In this edition, there will be 10 speakers that will speak in two 30-min blocks with a 30-min break in between. During the break, the audience will be able to take part in games like the “Ignite karaoke”, in which they can be Igniters for a minute and a half by improvising a speech over 6 slides they will never have seen. The topics of the speeches will be varied, from the Agile philosophy to the vilification of fat, how to make art accessible to blind and deaf people…

Ignite was born in Seattle in 2006, and from then it has spread to over 100 cities around the world… and now it’s coming to Barcelona. The second Ignite Barcelona will take place on Monday July 6th at the Antiga Fàbrica d’Estrella Damm. You can register through the website (www.ignitebcn.es).
