From Business Intelligence to Data Engineering

We’re finally back after the holidays with the first 2018 meetup!

Due to change of venue, our planning time for this event took a bit longer than expected, hence the rather late event creation. The new venue is less noisy, as some of you noted in our initial venue, and there will be snacks, beers, and soda for everyone to enjoy!

Besides the obvious meeting of like-minded data people, we have an exciting speaker for you:
Xavier (https://www.linkedin.com/in/xgumara/) has more than 7 years of experience working with data. He started his career as a business intelligence engineer, then naturally transitioned to a data engineer and nowadays he is leading a team data engineers under the Insights team. This journey has just been a natural evolution of the work that he and his team have been doing at Schibsted Marketplaces and this is what the talk will be about.

Xavier will talk about the journey going from business intelligence to actual data science; with technical depth.
